Berryporch
A short browser call with someone outside your team. Guests join from email — no Berrynook app and no VPN.
What it is
Berryporch is for a one-to-one talk with an external guest. You invite them from the Berrynook app; they open a link, enter a one-time code, and join in the browser.
How to use (host)
- In the Berrynook app, open the Cloud tab.
- Under Berryporch, enter the guest’s email and send the invite.
- Tap Join call when you are ready (opens the call in your browser).
- Use Resend invite if they did not get the email, or End when the call is done.
When you screen-share, prefer sharing a single tab — not your whole screen. Screen share tip.
How to use (guest)
- Open the invite link from email.
- Request a one-time code (sent to the same address).
- Enter the code and join the call in the browser.
Guests never need the Berrynook app, a Pass, or VPN.
Limits
- 1:1 only — host plus one guest.
- Short-lived invite — sessions expire; the host can end or resend.
- No Cloud login for the guest — watching a share does not open your private workspace.
- Calls are not saved — when a call ends, chat, shared files, the Talk room, and the guest account are deleted. Neither host nor guest gets a product archive. Host Meet settings (display name, language, theme) stay for the next invite. Copy anything you need before you leave.
- Rooms do not pile up — ending a call removes the Talk room; the sidebar is meant for the current invite only.
- No Cloud↔Meet file bridge — for ongoing file access on private Berrynook, invite them as a full team member.
Policies
App Store / Play listing Privacy Policy for the Berrynook app remains the VPN Privacy Policy. Optional privacy choices / account deletion: delete-account.
Not for
- Multi-party meetings or open lobbies.
- Anonymous public rooms without an email-bound invite.
- Guests who need ongoing access to your private cloud (use a team invite instead).
